My subscription renewal went to a collection agency because I didn't renew it. I haven't had time to read many of the magazines I get, so let my subscription to Men's Health lapse and kept getting nasty letters and emails that I was deliquent. This has been ongoing for months and now I just got a letter from North Shore collection agency for a $27.97 subscription renewal I didn't agree to or want. I bought a new scooter from this company. It quit running at only 555 miles while still under warranty. I did all the scheduled maintenance to the letter using high quality products. I tried to get them to fix it several times and they only gave me a run-a-round (i.e. tighten screws, adjust carb, etc. is all they said). I am not going to pay $400 or more to ship it to them. Felix Ngati represented in a claim against someone who hit the rear of of my car while I was stopped back in november of 2004. We received a settlement in August of 2005. We received enough money to pay his fees and pay the chiropractor I had to see to recover from the bodily effects of the accident. I needed their product immediately and ordered on a Thursday night, one day shipping. The product arrived on Monday, too late. Their website did have a check off for Saturday delivery, but I was incorrect to assume it would be delivered Saturday. It cost me $25 for one day shipping. Our company sent Baxter Mitchell & Assoc 1 overdue account (for $800.00) back in July 2008 and it took well over 30 - 40 phone calls to them (25 documented) and almost 1 year to "collect" our money (a little over $500.00) from this collection agency. Discrimination of Handicapped Persons at the restaurant: 410 Bank Street Cape May, NJ. Manager refused to allow me to use the handicap ramp. They will NOT send you to collections over a $20. By law there is a minimum charge collection agencies will accept. I believe this amount is $250, but it could be as small as $100. Ignore North Shore Collection Agency. Simply send the envelope back with your request to cancell. But my goodness, don't pay then expect a refund. Their purpose is to scare you. XM is billing us for Lifetime service of the XM radio when we call because our service had been interrupted. Our last bill was over 1600 dollars for our one vehcile unit.
