I sent my laptop in for repair because the right loudspeaker stopped working. When I receive it back, it looked like the bezel and screen had been placed on a dirty bench and then wiped with a dirty rag. There were scratches all over the bezel and one 3 inch vertical scratch on the screen. The laptop was in pristine condition before sending it into HP. I bought a cell phone from best buy. The manufacturer is motorola. After three months of owning the phone the speaker stopped working. I tried returning the phone to best buy. While Tucson.BBB.org rates American Home Maintenance, Inc A+ my experience with the company is much less. A service call was arranged via Home Depot for repair of my HVAC system. The problem was diagnosed to a faulty blower motor relay. The relay price was quoted at $379 and would not be replaced without a $249 cleaning. When the ipad came out, I heard about this company on tech news sites, and immediately signed up for a $39.95 3 month recurring membership, figuring it's the only productive use for the ipad. I purchased a new 3 stream Brita faucet mount filter less than 3 months ago. I previously used Pur water filters, but decided to give Brita a try. I wish we'd stayed with Pur. The electronic indicator light failed. I changed the filter, thinking that was the problem. Still no indicator light. After emailing Brita, I received a response telling me to do what I'd already done (change the filter). The email went on to tell me if that didn't work, I needed to buy a new unit!! In our opinion, as past tenants, we would not trust them again. For us, they seemed to be very nice in the beginning but after a few weeks we wish we had rented somewhere else. This company was informed of a huge wasp nest located at least 30 feet up in a roof eave. They came out, sprayed the nest and left a note that they didn't have a ladder tall enough to knock down the nest but they did kill the wasps. When I called them to remove the entire nest as agreed upon in the original call, they said it would be an additional cost because of the height and location of nest. I ended up scraping the nest off myself. This is a classic example of bait and switch. They charged me full price, and left me to get rid of the nest. I took my 1999 Ford explorer to Smith Cairns Ford Dealership in Mt. Kisco NY for an Oil change and to have lighter placed behind the center console panel of the dash where it should have been all along in addition to having the radio antenna replaced.
