Before going on my vaccation to China and then over to Egypt, all up we went for 4 weeks I had alot of trouble with the travel agent communicating with us as they felt we asked too many questions and were told not to worry but to sit back and enjoy ourselves, we would be well liooked after.Well what a disapointment it was, we had several changers in China over a period of 10 nites most of which we were not consulted about but were adatable to, but after that we thought that we were going to be looked after in Egypt and that was our biggest mistake, Our itinery changed dramatically every day, we payed for hotels to stay in before we left and never got to stay in them, we were asking about the changes and were told that it was not our business to know as he would see to it, we had an Australia consultant with us but even she had no say in what was happening, she told the Egytian consultant that she need to be told of any changes to be able to tell us and with that he sat everyone down at tea time and said 'things are the way they are so stop complaining and stop bothering your consultant about such trival things.'We were made to stay on a boat for 2 days longer than we payed for- we were told it was better for us as we didn't have to unpack and repack as many times but was not asked or consulted about it, the boat we stayed on was surpossed to be the newest on the river Nile 5 star and up and was given pictures to show what to expect and what disapointment, it was dirty and smelly, and about 10 yrs old, his reponse was the other had had a fire on it but when he showed some of us it was the same stye of boat only it was 4yrs old, what he didn;t know was we had photo's and when we comlpianed he spoke in hs own language and ignored the questions asked.Most of the ladies got sick with diaheria and nausa, - I belive they may have had what is called cabin fever.Nobody understand us as they were not fluent in english, over 3/4's of them were Germans the rest were Egyptians, then there were just 9 of us, not good odds. We expected to be able to tastes some of the great dishes but was given extremly heavey and fatty foods which were German based and was not able to be accommodated for food intolerances at all.He kept telling us we were getting extras but we are yet to see the extras, on many occassions we were all placed on seperate floors in the hotels and yet there were only 9 of us which ment we only needed 4 double rooms and 1 single, he always had an excuse, this included being on the boat, on the last 2 nites on the boat we were the only 9 guests on board which you think we would be looked after but that didn;t happen we had to ask them to empty and clean the pool out due to it not being filtered they didn't seem to thick we didn't need it though at 40drges, we did, there was no alternates or entertainment provided for as we were the only people on board, there were no tea and coffee making facilities where ever we went for us in our rooms, but even with all our problems we still manage to have a reasonable holiday with a good group of friends.I do have some photos to show the difference between some items.
If you read this my hope would be for people to not have any expections at all.
