Hail damage new Hilux
We bought a Brand new Toyota Rav 4 from the constantia branch in Feb 2011 thinking that a brand new car should atleast start when on the floor as a new car.The day we collected the car the car did not start and they had to replace the battery. So we left it there and they told us they will have a new battery in a couple of days for us.Then a month later I went back to buy a brand new Hilux dbl cab 4x4 through them. The sales manager Wiets Botes at the branch told me that he will order me a bakkie and it will only arive in 2-3 weeks time. After waiting and getting all the finance in place they phoned me to collect the bakkie and to sign documents. When I arrived at the dealer I went to look at the bakkie and to my supprise the bakkie was full of ex- hail damage that they tried to repair and sell it as a new car to the client. When I confronted Wiets Botes he told me that the car is mine as I signed papers and that they are prepared to fix the dents for me.I could not believe my ears coming from a manager in sales to tell a client that. When trying to contact the dealer principal they put the phone down.If this is the way a dealer deals with new cars and clients then I would never recomend this dealer to anyone. They are the biggest crooks and by far the worst toyota dealer to deal with.Never again
