Just so you are aware of a different kind of scammers. I was a victim of one such company. The company claims to be SMART in led lighting TECHNOLOGIES and ELECTRONICS when they responded to my post in Made-In-China.com for a maufacturing partner to help me build a new lighting product. They convinced me with an impressive company website that claims to have some 150 staff, 3 senior engineers and 5 engineers. They assured me they were able to design, prototype and bring my products to production. They asked to be paid the design fees upfront and promised me they would give me back my money if they cannot produce the design for me. But after I t/t them the money, they were unable to produce anything. Strangely, they did not dissappear though but kept communicating with me. They either sent me pictures that looked a little like what I was looking for but clearly was not designed specifically for me. They probably just picked the pics up from the somewhere. Each time I pointed that out, they just gave the excuse that my specs were not clear. In fact, towards the end of the episode, they even had the cheek to ask to for the entire design which I thought was what I paid them to do in the first place. It then dawned on me that these guys were probably some kind of corporate scammers (real companies that wouldn't mind taking free money from you if you are not careful) and they were just clowning with me to force me to give up. I finally did decide to just cut my losses.
