Uses force to sell
In July of 07 I moved to Az from New York, although my car was in great condition the warranty had expired and I was concerned about the effect the extreme heat here was having on it and as a single parent did not want a car note plus added expenes of car repairs. I went into midway to test drive a car the summer of 08. They said well let us have your keys and we will have your car checked out to see what the trade in value would be. That was the last time I saw my car keys, I asked for them five times including being in the finance office they did not respond in any way until I fell back in line and continued with the 'deal'. I ended up with a Saturn Relay. When it was all said and done I had a car payment of 455.00 a month of which I told them I could not afford and a car that has been in the shop six times each repair more expensive than the last and wonders of wonders my 'warranty' does not cover those repairs. The latest which was yesterday the dealer wanted 828.00 to fix a sensor to the ABS Light that was coming on. My bumper to bumper limited warranty that does not cover normal wear and tear does not cover sensors. Two weeks after I purchased the car it died so I called them upset they said we will replace the car I said okay, they replaced it with a chevy uplander, a week later called and said we cant do this deal although all the paper work they gave me said it was a done deal bank agreement with all the bank information filled in due date etc, I still have copies of everything. So I took the car back and they gave me back my relay and it had not been fixed all the way. I have driven chevys all my life and have lived in four states dealt with several chevy dealers have loved all of them until I moved to Az. This is the worst ripoff I have ever encountered. They told me they gave me money for my trade in but they did not give me anything and added what they gave me back to the cost of the car so its upside down by over 11k or more I cannot even get rid of it. It is a lesson learned. I called Saturn yesterday and discovered the car had an extended warranty from the orginal owners that could have been transferred to me for 50 dollars, now it cannot I do not know if chevy knew of this or not but when I file my complaint with the atty general we will find out. I was held captive, intimidated, and forced into purchasing a car I did not want. I have requested a copy of the inspection report on the car several times have not received it. I have asked to speak to the General Manager several times over the past year he is never available. Although when I brought the car back the next day I was told you should have asked for the General Manager if you did not like anything happening. The manager told me we have you on tape I said good because it will show I asked for my keys five times. So go and get the tape, and it will also show you and the finance manager not responding to my request. what I would like to happen: 1) I want the warranty that I thought I had that covered everything expect normal wear and tear 2) Car check and everything that is broken expect for the hupcap and rim I did that fixed. 3) a car fax report 4) or the car replaced with a chevy which is what I wanted in the first place.
