This is regarding my recent purchase. I was very upset with my latest purchase at Joop Fashion house at Raffles City on 1st Oct 2010 at about 10.19 pm. The salesgirl told me that if I buy above $50, I can apply for a member card which is I wanted since last year. I happily picked 2 pieces, $55.90 and $49.90 respectively. My friend who was with me paid for hers which cost $55.90 and applied for her card while I followed. My friend received a $5 voucher and asked if she can picked up another item using the voucher, she was told by another salesgirl that the item needs to be $20 and above in order to use the voucher. I asked the cashier if I can use hers and still apply the member card. She told me that I can even use her member card for my purchase to enjoy 20% discount. I was very surprise and asked her that with 20% discount and using the $5 voucher, I can still apply for the member card. She said no. I then tell her then I would not want to use hers as I wanted a member card of my own. She went ahead to register my purchase and when all ended, I waited for her to hand me some form or sort for the application. She went off to entertain another customer which then I asked her how I can go about with the application. She told me I CAN’T because one of the items is a sale product and the regular price item is $49.90, $0.10 away hence not able to apply. I was stunned because if I knew I was so close then I would have picked up another item to reach the amount. I then asked her I did not know that I was so close and asked her if I could buy more stuff to apply for the member card. Her answer was, “No. We can’t do anything. There is no way to do it.” She then went ahead to pack up her stuff for closing.
Actually getting other products to another amount of $50 is not difficult as there are many other things that I would like to buy if not for the fact that the door is closed. I can still apply for the member card during my 2nd purchase. It is her attitude and inflexibility that really upset me. My friend and I were very upset with her attitude. This really spoils my day and our impression of the company's customer service.
