Fraud on Cruise Trip Offer
Free Imperial Majesty Cruise Trip is a fraud and scam. We got trapped to this scam too recently. We got call from Imperial Majesty Cruise Line offering 3-day and 2-night cruise trip plus free hotel and car rental. We were asked to repay $298.00 as reservation fee on August 2, 2010 and reserved our trip from Dec 21-27, 2010. We booked airline tickets to Orlando in Oct and were so excited for our trip. We called the company today (Dec 11, 2010) to confirm the trip (phone number: 1-800-203-9783), the lady who answered our call told us that our trip was canceled and then put us on hold forever. We called again, and another lady answered the call and told us that the schedule for the trip has been changed and we need to pay $99.00 each ($198.00 for two) to update our trip. We started suspicious on the trip and asked to talk to his manager. We were put on hold again forever. We called them the third time, and the lady Teresa answered our call. After she searched on their system, she told us that our trip is good and no change was needed. We were so happy and asked her to send the schedule to us. She promised to fax to us. She even left her phone extension to us (1-888-217-2620 ext: 4006). We waited for half an hour and did not receive the fax. We then called the fourth time and asked for Teresa. Jewell (ID 7535) answered the call and told us that Teresa was on the other line. We told him the fax, he told us that it took over 7 to 10 day for fax to reach us. We then asked him to confirm our trip, he said that our trip was reserved but no fixed date confirmed yet and we need to call back on Monday to set the date. We asked him the car rental and hotel reservation. He gave us the phone number to Alamo (1-800-462-5266) and one for hotel Ramada Plaza Resort (954-735-7474) and the reservation number. We called Alamo and hotel to check the reservation. Alamo told us that there is no reservation for us and they even said that they never heard of Imperial Majesty. The answer from the Resort was the same. We finally realized that the trip is totally a scam. We started search on the Internet for Imperial Majesty Cruise Line (http://www.imperialmajesty.com/contact.html) and found out that they stopped accepting reservation since March 2009.

It was too sad that we were trapped. We will appreciate it if someone can instruct us how to stop them from cheating other people and how to get our money back. Thanks. All Green

Fraud and cheating
If it sounds too good to be true it is! Was promised free car rental for 7 days. The car was small, a Suzuke Swift or similar. I asked for upgrade which cost $185.00. When I picked up car total fees was $325.00 What FREE car rental!!!

Was promised 3 days, 2 nights at Ramada Plaza Resort, Ft.Lauderdale. What I got: Check in at 3pm on Sat. Was told at Welcome Center we had to take a tour of a time share. This was the First time we had been told. She showed us in fine print, on the package we received AFTER we had bought the package, which by the way was $587 plus $118 port tax. Had plans to go to Keys on Sunday, but ended up on time share tour for 3 1/2 hours. Was told if we did not go on time share tour we would not be allowed to go on cruise even though we had bought and paid for package.

When we finally lost that battle, we were told we could have free lunch with our food vouchers. After we were seated and had our food we were surrounded by 4 waitresses and were told we would have to pay for our meal. I showed the vouchers and was told because we did not have a room, vouchers were no good. I told them we were waiting to checking, because rooms weren't ready, and checking time was 3pm. That didn't matter. So insulted and mad as heck we leave.

When we are finally able to check in, after paying $24 for taxes... OMG.. this place is a dump. Nasty, roaches in the bathroom, only one set of towels in room. the shower head leaked, spraying water on the ceiling. the entire place smelled of overpowering air spray. no refrigerator.did i mention ROACHES. Very old place in need of upgrading or demolishing.

When we finally did get a meal with our food voucher, needless to say we weren't surprised with the poor quality. Coffee not fit to drink, of course soft drinks cost extra, and you still had to pay taxes and gratuities.

On to the time share ordeal. We had planned on in and out. What a joke. you just can't tell these folks no.
Felt like it was a hostage situation. Very pushy. And what an attitude when you tell them no...Finally after 3 and 1/2 hours and 3 different sales people, we are allowed to leave.Did not go to Keys.

Back to the hotel. OH, for you smokers. YOU aren't allowed to smoke anywhere..

On Monday we are off to the cruise. Cruise ship is old, but clean. The crew is nice and everything seems fine. Of course they charge $20 bucks per person for gratuities. On board you are charged a 15% service fee on everything you buy.

$50 match is only for Blackjack. My advice is to not buy any shore excursions until you get off the ship. And you only get about 8 hours at the Bahamas. Bahamas really nice, just not enough time to do anything.

Get back to states. Very unorganized departure. Get to Orlando and another nightmare begins. They tell us in order to get the Universal Tickets we have to see another time share. We hit the roof!! Of course no one knows nothing so we have to go to the time share office and show them in black and white that we don't have to sit thru 2 timeshare presentations. Finally we are sent back to Welcome Ctr. to get tickets. Did I mention how hateful and rude these timeshare people are? The Ramada in Orlando a lot nicer than Ft.Lauderdale, but you couldn't breath for the smell of chlorine. We had food vouchers, but the restaurant was right beside the pool and we couldn't stand the smell.

This whole Ramada Plaza Resort/ Imperial Majesty Cruise Line is a SCAM from the word go. I asked over the phone if it was a timeshare gimmick and was lied to... More than once..BUYER BEWARE.

Scam and cheating
I just want to thank those of you who have written to describe your experiences with Imperial Majesty Cruise Line and Ramada Plaza Resort. I just received the pitch in the mail, including the 'Free Cruise Voucher, ' etc. As with spam e-mail, I usually check it out before responding to any of this stuff, and my Internet search paid off with the comments and stories documented on this site. I'm apprehensive of anything offered for nothing to start with, but it's good to get corroboration of what's 'behind the scenes' before responding to these 'offers.' Thanks again...

False advertisement etc.
I was told my ship would depart Ft. Everglades on Dec. 6th-Dec. 8th sailing to Nassau, Bahamas. I randomly called the cruise line a week prior to sailing to receive my itinerary, and was told there was bad news. My ship sailing date had changed to Dec. 5th instead. I had already booked airfare so was unable to change my flight. I happened to later find out online, that the destination had changed as well. Do you think they bothered to tell me that either? We went to Freeprt, Bahamas and it was horrible!!! Why did I have to call them to find this out? I should've been contacted!!! They also told me about some free "tour and breakfast", when I arrived. They tried twice to sell me a timeshare. They were belittling me and very rude because I didn't agree to buy this "timeshare". Nothing was said when I booked about a timeshare presentation. Everything on the ship and at the Ramada hotels was horrible!!! I at least want my $200 back that I had to pay the for them leaving on a different day. It wasn't ME that changed the date at the last minute. Horrible, horrible vacation, and nobody deserves to be pushed around and lied to, at there OWN expense.
