We had contacted and hired Elaine Way to be our wedding officiant. Since she was one of the first search results, we figured that was a good criterion to select her and her professional looking website made us feel at ease. However, after requesting sample services and inquiring to promises made by her and her website, we received a very snark and rude response including that she was on vacation and that she did not have the time to deal with us. We ultimately decided to cancel and following a few VERY unprofessional emails (including one where she threatened to get her attorney involved), I decided to take matters to this review board. We have now found another wonderful officiant for our wedding, but are out the money we paid Elaine to "reserve" her, as well as many emotional hours dealing with this when we should not need to in planning our wedding. I would not recommend Elaine or her services, after our correspondence, and her attitude, we had an awful experience.
