Dear Sirs,

I regret to write this letter to complain for the service that I received from a highly reputable and world-wide known orthopedist in Istanbul / Turkey, Mr Azmi HamzaoÄŸlu.
Let me explain about my situation.

I had an unfortunate accident almost two years ago and damaged my back terribly. I had an operation right after the accident and had platinum rods implanted in my backbone. However, two of the platinum rods has been broken recently and I started to seek for an advise from my colleagues and friends on which professional to see in order to get immediate help to reduce my pains, and return back to my normal life as a healthy person by overcoming this challenge as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, I was advised to see Dr Azmi HamzaoÄŸlu since he is known as the best doctor in his field. Subsequently, I booked an appointment in his private practice. I have to tell that I almost forgot about my physical pain because of his terrible manners and extremely disrespectful approach towards a patient.

Nonetheless, I am a firm believer that I have every right to recieve answers to my questions with regards to my health concerns and have assurance on how to proceed with my treatment.

Yet, he was courtiese enough to build up just one sentence which was “These have to be removed sometime”. I presume he was implying the broken platinum rods when he said “these” but I had no idea what he was referring with the word “sometime”. I was in unbearable pain and hardly made my way to his practice. I was not asking for compassion or emphaty but a professional approach that would have provided sufficent information and accurate advise on how and when to undergo another surgery.

Since I am an educated person, indeed, I can surely understand high professional fees that Mr. Hamzaoglu charges.

However, on the other hand, I have difficulties to understand his totally unacceptable manners and dissatisfactory professional service in return of my hard earned money; especially when considering that I am a teacher who works in a state high school and have limited monetary resources.

In fact, I believe Mr Hamzaoglu does not deserve his reputation. I would very much appreciate, if this letter would help to take some of his medals off his chest, which are certainly not made of gold!
